"Managing your thinking to promote efficiency and ease in your body."

The Alexander Technique is a method of psychophysical re-education that addresses habits of thought and physical expression that limit movement and well being. It promotes integration and coordination of the mind with the body and usually provides the student with a sense of freedom and openness. Students of this technique often report an increased sense of wholeness and coordination.

With the assistance of an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique instructor, students learn to inhibit habits of use that cause tension and re-direct their thinking while performing any activity. The Alexander Technique has provided support for thousands who have struggled with everything from vocal difficulties to repetitive strain injury.
